Waterfront Seafood

Salmon Sushi

Iowa’s Award Winning
Seafood Since 1984.

Waterfront has been a family-owned business in West Des Moines since 1984. Our family wanted to bring quality seafood to the Des Moines area and this idea began with a fresh fish market that has grown to a restaurant, sushi, and oyster bar. We are proud to have grown into the midwest’s premier establishment for all things seafood.

We have been buying fresh fish from the same people for many years. Their experience and expertise help bring the highest quality fish and seafood from their boat to your plate.

Our trained staff are here to answer all of your questions about cooking techniques, seasonings, and storage. We want you to enjoy and feel comfortable cooking our fresh fish at home. We also carry spices and kitchen tools that will make cooking fun and easy.

You can be assured if we are not satisfied with what’s coming in our back door, it won’t go out our front door.

“My face hurts. I’ve been in the back cutting fish for 3 weeks. Being up front and seeing customers today, I’ve been smiling non stop. It’s been great to see people and catch up.”

I love seeing you when I stop in, sorry it wasn't today. Love your smile and your ability to connect with customers. You need to stay up front and center!!!

Well that explains our conversation then. glad they let you out of lock up. PS It occured to me on the way home you should check with Joe's in Miami, they have their own boats and may be able to bulk ship some rock lobster or at least stone crabs which shouldnt compete with your other east coast guy.

You truly were. You guys and gals always make me feel welcomed. We’ve been coming there for 3 generations in our family now. I do need to talk to my son about another gift card! Lol

You are the best!

U r the best! Have been going to waterfront since 1989.

I missed you today. I was there around 2:30.

I miss u Nick Hanke !!!!!
