Marinated Fillet of Tuna

A fresh and tasty tuna dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup teriyaki sauce
  • ½ cup dry sherry
  • 4 Tbsp finely chopped ginger
  • ½ cup chopped scallions
  • 2 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper
  • 2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 lemons, juiced
  • 4 8 oz tuna steaks
  • Olive oil

Directions

  1. Combine first 8 ingredients.
  2. Place the tuna in the marinade and refrigerate for 3 hours, turning every hour.
  3. Drain the tuna 30 minutes before cooking and bring to room temperature.
  4. Brush tuna with olive oil and grill to medium rare – or desired doneness.
  5. You may heat and reduce the marinade to serve with the tuna.
