Halibut Royale

Rich and flaky baked halibut.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ lb Halibut Steaks
  • 1 cup dry white wine
  • 2 tsp salt
  • ¼ cup dry bread crumbs
  • ¼ cup minced green onion
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • Paprika

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
  2. Combine wine and salt. 
  3. Pour over halibut and marinate in refrigerator at least 1 hour. 
  4. Drain halibut on paper towels. 
  5. Dip both sides in bread crumbs and place halibut in shallow baking dish. 
  6. Combine sour cream, mayonnaise and green onions and spread over halibut.
  7. Bake at 450 degrees allowing 10 minutes per inch of thickness measured at its thickest part – or until halibut flakes easily when tested with a fork.
